Just in Case You Missed National Popcorn Day...

While we did celebrate "National Popcorn Day" on January 19th (thanks to Laura's VERY fun 4th grade teacher)...we missed "Squirrel Appreciation Day" on the 21st--which was a tragedy for Mr. Nutkins, Jason's pet squirrel. 

To avoid missing any other special dates....I decided to compile a list of some bizarre and unique holidays coming up in the next few months.

We unfortunately also missed "Create a Vacuum Day" on February 4th, but won't pass by "National Gumdrop Day" on the 15th without a celebratory treat.

Every day is "National Battery Day" with the Chuppies.

We've had to place restrictions on the number of Costo battery packs we can go through in a month,  but if you feel the need to show extra support--February 18th would be your day for that.

In March we may skip "If Pets Had Thumbs Day" (March 3rd) but I'm putting "Plant a Flower Day" (March 12th) on the calendar.....along with "Learn About Butterflies Day" (March 14th), "Chocolate Covered Raisins Day"(March 24th), and "Take a Walk in the Park Day" (March 30th).

In April we're going to stretch out "National Honesty Day" as far as you can honestly stretch it out....

For May....why not try National ___________
--Mother Goose Day (5-1)
--Brothers and Sisters Day (5-2)
--Bird Day (5-4)
--Space Day (5-6)
--No Socks Day (5-8)
--Pick Strawberries Day (5-20)

...though I think we'll pass on "National Escargot Day" (May 24).

"National Doughnut Day" is always the first Friday in June...Jason will be much more supportive of that than "Take Your Dog to Work" day on June 23rd.

I live in a perpetual state of "National I Forgot Day" (July 2) but if I can remember... we will probably enjoy July 15th--"Tapioca Pudding Day".

August possibilities include: Watermelon Day, Mustard Day, Lighthouse Day, Tell a Joke Day, Friendship Day...and one I'm really looking forward to....

"National Relaxation Day"---now that one has my full support!

September starts off with "National Beheading Day" and in order to avoid even the slightest possibility that the boys might try to build a guillotine of their own....I think we'll just skip that whole month.

October is our crazy-full-of-birthdays-month, so probably don't need to add much more, but in memory of all Jason's arch enemies, we can't pass up "National Mole Day" on October 30th.  We at least owe them that much, now that his death tally is up to 7....but that's a whole different blog post.

And one that is extra special to us...."National Adoption Day" on November 19th.

To be honest....I don't think December needs or can handle much more than CHRISTMAS !!!

Chances are...I won't actually remember these crazy, bizarre holidays until next January when we hit "National Popcorn Day" again....but...just on the off chance that I need to celebrate "Don't Cry over Spilled Milk Day" tomorrow morning, it was fun to check out our options.
