What's Above Your Kitchen Sink?

This is my kitchen sink.

I've started to think that what is above...or in front of...or around...your kitchen sink--
actually tells a lot about who your are and what is important to you.

Maybe I'm wrong.
Maybe there's just a bottle of antibacterial soap.
And there's a whole lot more to you than....
cleanliness.
But--even if you're all about cleanliness--that's a great place to start.

I've decided (especially after today) that I spend a whole lot of time (like hours) looking at the same 10 or so items...
And there's a reason why I put them there.

So here's my challenge to you.
Create a post (with or without photos) and a link to this post...
And share with us a little about yourself with a few visuals of what you look at day in and day out while you do your dishes, make food....wash out cups of frozen action heroes embedded in ice....
(we had snow today).

I will announce the "kitchen sink prize winner" within the week and you can expect a fun little prize for your efforts (make sure you link your post & comment so that I can check it out).
I love green depression glass...though this is the only
piece I have...given to me by my friend Gini.
And candlelight.  There's just something about the
way it can transform a room.

My ipod player...where I lose myself in all different kinds of music
and podcasts from my some of my favorites:
Piper, Chandler, Keller, Chan and Driscoll.

My frog and fireflies...I fell in love with fireflies during a visit to NC and
I've always had a things for frogs.
The family statue is from my friend Jodi in Rwanda who works
with an organization called Wellspring.  It reminds me to pray for her
and the other people who are special to us overseas.

Cherry Blossoms from my friend Stacee...that will always
remind me of Selah.  "Choose Joy" reminds of the
choice I actually do have when I'm stuck in the grumps.
A card from another sweet friend who wrote it at the
Holy Spirit's prompting....reminds me I want to always be
listening.  And my favorite little bird.  I just like him.

A vase for valuing the latest flowers...
or dandelions that the kids bring home.
This one is from my Jason though...

Our little guys...with a special baby ring that
was a gift from some close friends when Selah died.

And then these are my "bonus" items...that I found added this morning by little helping hands...

 Evidence of yesterday's window-cling-art-extravaganza...

A blue-solar-powered-color-changing lizard...
Both--just a good reminder of the the people I love VERY much!
And what about you...what are you lookin' at?
