In Light of... (with updated link at bottom--worth viewing)

I originally posted this on Saturday...but kept thinking about it again all this morning...
Last night we watched news clips of so many family members searching frantically for the people that they love.
It's difficult to think about much else.
Decided to repost and include a link at the bottom that Jason showed the kids on Sunday.
It uses satellite images of before and after photos.

From Saturday:

Today was Colson's last basketball game.
We had a fun pizza party in the park.
Came home, took off muddy boots.
Played with Legos.
Made popcorn.
One son went over to a friend's house.
Jason took the other big kids to Home Depot.
They are going to swing by Blockbuster to rent a movie.
I got the mail and started some laundry.
Lydi took her nap.
Now I'm deciding which left-overs to reheat.

All so very normal.
But--in light of watching the news today...

I'm so thankful for normal.

Tsunamis.
Earthquakes.
Flooding.
Nuclear  Meltdowns.

I felt the need to--

Pause.

My heart is thankful for this day shared with the people I love most.

And prayerful...
For those in Japan.

Who are facing anything, but what is normal

Today.
(Maybe turn down your volume if you'd like to avoid the background music)

This link shows satellite before and after photos.
If you hover your mouse over the photo you can slide into an after shot of the same area.
Jason showed the kiddos the photos to help them understand just how big the impact was and is.
