Thankful For My Mother's Prayer...

I was looking through old scrapbooks.
And stumbled upon my mom's written prayer...
It's something I want to pray for our kiddos and for myself...

"I pray for my kids--
...asking the Lord to protect them from the influence of Satan, the world, and the flesh.
...asking Him to provide a Christian who is a good friend and also a discipling relationship in their lives.
...asking Him to produce His character in their lives throughout the day as they turn to Him in response to people and circumstances.
...asking Him to increase their perception  of the Holy Spirit's voice as He speaks to them.

In making these requests, I become more dependent on the Lord as I realize my own responsibility in each of these.  And that's a great result because that's just where God wants us, realizing how much we need to cling to and depend on Him."

Hi Kara, what a great find! I love to come across long written notes from my mother. She passed away in 1992 so to see her handwriting brings a smile to my face.
