Today we experienced--
The Great Oregon Steam-Up
for the very first time, but we will definitely try to go every year from here on out!
I'm going to rush and get this posted, because The Great Steam-Up is still open tomorrow from 7 am to 6 pm and if you're in the Oregon area, it would be a very fun, family outing, even just for the afternoon...
If you have any little ones who enjoy tractors, machines, trains, tanks, firetrucks, or learning how things work, it's well worth the trip!
I'll share some photos and a few very short video clips (seconds long) below.
I told my husband on the way home, I couldn't believe how kind and friendly all of the steam engine owners were. Our kids asked 50-bazillion questions...and every person they spoke with took time to answer each question and to explain how all of the different machines and inventions worked.
Detailed information, can be found here, with directions given here.
The cost is $10 per adult and kids 12 and under are free.
You can bring in food and drinks, but there is food available to purchase as well.
It really was a fun day and we learned a lot !
