My Mom and I are trying to plan food for their visit (with my brother & his wife & kids) this next weekend....
(Started email at 2:05)
That’s so nice mom…thank you! (she offered to bring a meal)
(Stopped email when the neighbors dropped by to see our chickens. We have shared-custody. We hatched them and they are willing to take a few.)
Right now I’m thinking we’ll do Subway on Thursday night because Thurs. is our nutty day (with school to swimming lessons to piano class to L.H.O.T.P. night).
Then Friday morning, we’ll have something easy because the kiddos will head off to school & Aunt Laura and I will go to Treasure Trading at church.
(Stopped email to go to swim lessons.)
I’ll have stuff for sandwiches for lunch on Friday.
(Stopped email to deal with a 2-year-old who was cutting our dog's hair with scissors she found in a "medical kit" on the un-reach-able shelf of her closet.)
Friday night I’m thinking pulled-pork-sandwiches, salad, baked beans, corn on the cob…something yummy for dessert.
For Saturday morning, I think I’ll get Costco’s cinnamon rolls and make an overnight quiche with fruit.
Saturday lunch—probably left-overs or sandwiches.
(Stopped email to unplug toilet that was overflowing...for the second time today...because "someone" decided that paper towels could fulfill the roll of toilet paper. Not true. )
Saturday dinner—I was thinking baked potato bar with taco meat, refried beans & fruit with left-over-dessert.
(Stopped email to get the door—neighbor with warm homemade dinner rolls to share—yum!)
Sunday morning—cereal, fruit, cream cheese with bagels?
(4:50pm--going to send before I never send this!!!)
Feel free to delete, suggest, change…I’m not set on any of this…just starting to brainstorm.
(Stopped email because 2-year-old "messed up the I-Pad” and then stole candy-peanut-butter-m-&-m's on the way up to her room. Punishment with candy. Not sure that is effective. )
Everybody over here is SOOOOOO excited!!!
(Stopped email to tell a different neighbor child that the kids can’t play today because we still aren't done with school work...or chores...or life...or cleaning up the play dough that is smashed into our carpet.)
Come quick!!! Can you come now?
Love,
me
