For several years now,
we've visited Williamette National Cemetary
on Memorial Day weekend.
Our daughter just finished a WW2 project for her fifth grade class
and it was a reminder of how many have sacrificed their lives
in service to our country and for the cause of freedom.
Every year, my husband finds stories of specific men and women
who have served our country with honor.
I wanted to share this before Memorial Day,
so that you might consider making this a part of your family's
Memorial Day remembrance.
Our 2010 visit--with the stories of three Medal of Honor Recipients.
Our 2011 visit--with the story of a Purple Heart & Bronze Cross Recipient
and another story of a WW2 Doolittle Raider.
No words can express sufficient gratitude...
